Indian Super League 2026-27:
Predictions, Standings and Analysis
The Indian Super League returns on 10 October 2026, and this season brings back the full home-and-away format. Thirteen clubs will play 163 matches through to May 2027. The League Shield goes to the side that finishes top, and the top six move into the playoffs for the ISL Cup. East Bengal begin as defending champions after winning their first ISL title last season. KheloExch's ISL page follows the season from start to finish. You can read match analysis and predictions before each fixture, check the schedule with kick-off times in IST, and follow the points table as it changes. We also track how each club is performing at home and away. The history of the league is here too: every past champion, the clubs with the most titles and the records that still stand. Updates on squads, transfers and other ISL news are added as they are confirmed.
Kheloexch ISL Match Predictions
ISL matches are rarely easy to call. Long journeys between cities, the impact of foreign signings and big differences in home support can all change how a team performs from week to week. Kheloexch's ISL predictions account for that by building each preview on evidence rather than reputation. We start with recent form and previous results, then look at how each side has performed at home and on the road. Head-to-head records matter in fixtures with real history, such as the Kolkata derby. Goals scored and conceded, along with how well a team defends set pieces and late pressure, show where a match could be won or lost. League position tells us what each club needs from the game, and the tactical approach of both coaches often shapes the kind of contest we expect. Where reliable team news is available, we also factor in injuries, suspensions and the availability of key foreign players. Each preview then gives an estimated win probability for both teams and for the draw, along with a possible scoreline. These are analysis-based estimates, not guaranteed results. Indian football has its share of surprises, and a single moment can undo the most careful reading of a match.
ISL Points Table 2026-27
The ISL points table shows where every club stands and what each is fighting for. Next to each team's position, you'll see matches played, wins, draws and losses, goals scored and conceded, goal difference and total points. A win is worth three points and a draw one. This season, the table matters twice. The club that finishes first after the home-and-away league stage wins the League Shield, which is the official league title. The top six then qualify for the playoffs, where the ISL Cup is decided. That makes the race for sixth place as tense as the fight at the top, because one extra win can be the difference between a playoff spot and an early finish. Lower down, the table shows which clubs are struggling. Whether any relegation applies this season depends on the league's rules, and we'll note it once confirmed. The standings are updated after each round of matches and show the matchweek or date they cover. Fixtures are spread unevenly, especially around the international break from 7 to 20 November, so clubs may have played different numbers of games. Check the played column before comparing points.

All-Time ISL Champions and Most Successful Clubs
The ISL has two main honours, and it helps to keep them apart. The ISL Cup goes to the winner of the playoff final and has been awarded since the first season in 2014. The League Winners' Shield was introduced in 2019-20 and goes to the team that tops the table after the league stage. FC Goa were its first winners. In ISL Cup wins, ATK, the original Kolkata franchise, lifted three: in 2014, 2016 and 2019-20. ATK later merged with Mohun Bagan, and the merged club has won two more Cups, in 2022-23 and 2024-25. So the Kolkata total depends on whether you count ATK's titles as Mohun Bagan's. Chennaiyin (2015, 2017-18) and Mumbai City (2020-21, 2023-24) have two Cups each, and Bengaluru FC and Hyderabad FC one apiece. In League Shield wins, Mumbai City (2020-21, 2022-23) and Mohun Bagan Super Giant (2023-24, 2024-25) have two each, and FC Goa and Jamshedpur FC one each. Only two clubs have won both trophies in the same season: Mumbai City in 2020-21 and Mohun Bagan in 2024-25. The 2025-26 season was different. A shortened single round-robin was played with no playoffs, and East Bengal finished top to win their first ISL title.
